I have a furminator but have never used it! I bought it when I had my dear old Merlin, but couldn't bring myself to use it on him because he was so very old.

I will have to try it out on young Pip. He has a very thick coat and is beginning to moult.

Don't get me stared on the FURminator ... it's the greatest thing since sliced bread! A lot of us have them... if you do a Search you'll find a VERY long thread about them

the groomer used it on harris tonight and it took soo much dead hair from his undercoat, he looks alot skinnier now!!(not that he has ever looked chunky)

It's a super grooming tool; does look a bit intimidating, but there is nothing like it for getting out old dead hair ... first time you try it you will not believe the amount ......
