The answer I was looking for is 5! Two compound eyes and three simple eyes. Most insects, including honey bees, possess two compound eyes. In the female (worker) honey bee, each compound eye consists of about 4500 “little eyes,” or ommatidia. So if you had answered 9003 I would have accepted that too!! ha ha. Scores coming up. |
