Oh dont worry Erin, I know exactly how Fran feels about me, She has made it blatantly obvious in the past. I usually try not to sink to her level but in this case where she is quite happily insulting many members of this forum I had to say something!

I'm sat here biting my tongue I am afraid - this has just descended into a rather nasty thread and I am all for having your opinions but some of the posts are here are offensively rude

Backing out now before I am tempted to unbite my tongue.

Surely this thread is not going anywhere other than down into more mudslinging?

Re: Another dog attack hits the news

Wow - this thread got out of hand didn't it.

Hope you all feel better for letting things of your chest.

I was gonna say that there would be one way to sort this then - Fran visits Moli or Kazz to see their dogs in the flesh, I would even go as far as to say that an OAP around here who has two KC staffs would be more than happy for you to meet his dogs. As would another neighbour who lives down the street (although that dog is a staff x ebt).

You have just met dogs that have not been brought up well or bred well and your opinion has been formed on that - your MIL was unfortunate to either have a badly bred one, or didn't bring up the dog correctly imo.

I totally stand by well bred and brought up staffs are probably the friendlist dogs out there - I literally have them following me (following me not Rocky like most other dogs do) on the way home (not all the way of course, just on the walk). They are VERY receptive to kindness and they sure do pay in kind.

Fran - of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I do believe you have a limited experience of staffs, you have clearly _only_ met the bad ones (and I'd still argue they are not proper well bred kc staffs at that). If you saw the staffs I have seen you would certainly think differently.

At the same time I can see why you might think as you do - as staff crosses/irish staffs/pits etc are in fashion with the idtios thesedays, also being actively encouraged to act like 'devil dogs' then it's no surprising some people think as you do. However, I think you have upset some of your longstanding friends by not taking into account the possibility that you might just have a limited experience of the 'breed' - which is what they have essentially been trying to point out but to no avail...

Anyway - best keep this thread locked now. A good debate is healthy, so long as all participants are openminded.
