I ahve noticed not so much different words, but different ways of pronouncing words....
I drive a Nissian...Here they pronounce is Neeson....

So interesting! Some of the words confused me ....

for instance if a Scotch pancake is a flapjack, what do you call a flapjack??? My "flapjack" is a sort of cakey/biscuity confection made mainly of oats, butter and sugar (but it can have molasses or treacle and sometimes fruit in it!) It can be packed down fairly densely and can be crisp or chewy underneath. Delicious!!!
