It was a Cunard ship that had been requisitioned for the war. Over 3500 lives were lost but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the ship.

It was a cruise ship "taken over by the navy in early 40's and sunk it was the largest loss of life the British armed forces in WWII apparently no one really knows how many people there were on board.

It was on the morning show on BBC "rememberace" for Poppy day.
