I have a tiger's tooth ........ my uncle was in the forefront of tiger conservation in India in the 50's and 60's. They did still have to go and trap "man eaters".

Hope that Harris and Skye don't need too much keepign on top of...

Cloud now seems to be her normal active self, and apart from the bare patch (which makes me realise just how furry she actually is!) and scar, you'd not think anything had happened to her today. Makes a change from the rather reproachful stare she leveled at me earlier on!

Erm, my taxonomy may be way out of date, but think lions and tigers are Felis not Panthera, and they roar. so will say false.

Well!

The term big cat – which is not a biological classification – is used informally to distinguish the larger felid species from smaller ones. One definition of "big cat" includes the four members of the genus Panthera: the tiger, lion, jaguar, and leopard. Members of this genus are the only cats able to roar.
