Two possible explanations: 'I'll even kiss the sunset pig' (1) she's so desperate to go back to California that'd she even kiss the Sunset Boulevard Police officers (pigs). back then during the 60's they disliked the police and as is still common, called them pigs and (2) a popular hippie hangout was Sunset Boulevard. there's also another possible meaning, at some pub they used to hold up a pet pig at sunset every day and someone would have to kiss it. she's saying she would love to go back to California so much that she'd even kiss a pig. Not sure there was ever a definitive answer ................ though personally, I'd favour (2) IF that practice was real! |
