I do wish I had a camera to hand - they were having such fun. I used to have an old uncl who would do cartoon drawings of things you described. Think he would have had a great time with that! He was so talented but very shy, would only do a drawing for close family.

I remember one of the "senior" girls at school used to do caricatures - she'd just do them with everyone crowded round her watching. Never knew how she could do it with an audience.

I once met a sketch artist at a fair and he did portraits of my sons. I was surprised when he said they didn't need to sit still at all. He wanted to capture their characters and i have to say they were good.
