I was thinking about the Australian ones Eileen - if they are opossums too they can never have met American ones and must be a separate species?

I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but they have long pointy faces with a jaw full if more teeth than you think possible (they hiss, too!), a long bare pink tail and very coarse fur......
