Shelley, you have no idea how happy I was to read your post re the potassium. I hope that this is what is causing the problem. The tabs are huge so I have to crush the, in milk for her but she is so easy to medicate that she takes it readily. Xx

Jerry and his littermate brothers all gradualy lost some of the use of their back legs, this is seperate to the potassium problem ( i assume ) Jerry is the only survivor left and is nearly 16. for a few years his back legs have been weak, giving him a perculiar walking gait and he is also unable to jump except very small heights. The vet suggested it was some weird nerological hereditary condition, she told us that it wasn't realy worth investigating as the condition could only be managed not cured.

i hope you soon see results, keep me posted. Apparently it is a rare condition and yes i remember the very large tablets. at the time i think whiskas dry biscuits had potassium in so i gave him these when he came off the tablets but i don't think it's in them any more for some reason
