My Drawings of Cats

Fran doing this cat has certainly been interesting although the photo has come out a bit orange/pink (the paper is white!) I do need to add some more black and brown to the fur as yet.

How do you get the eye's so lifelike Emma, your pictures look like photographs.............

Not quite sure about the secret there Moli, I find the eyes quite easy to do, once I start layering the colours (which I do VERY lightly) the eyes can sometimes take me a couple of hours to do but they are one of my favourite bits to draw. I do a lot of double checking back to my reference to make sure I get them correct, as before on my first ones I didn't check enough and they are very difficult to alter once everything else is completed.

brilliant Emma, this picture is looking wonderful, you should have no problem with Clems tortie bits, or Elsa's cream blends and silver tabby ticking

thanks Guys, Luke looking at Clems tortie bits she will be a lot easier than this one, as this one is very speckled. I am looking forward to drawing everybodies cats on here!!

Just wish my new paper had turned up!!!! lol

hehe your lucky i dont send u a pic of Sky when she was in her full coat she is a blue torttie somke so tottie colours with blue in there as well

Haven't had much chance of doing much drawing in the last few days but I managed to get a couple of hours in tonight.

The photo looks more orange/pink than in real life
