I like horror films but I'm too scared to watch Antichrist and other really violent gory horrors

I've even found recently I can't watch Silent Witness - it's too graphic, dead bodies and autopsies. Sad, because it's a very well written and suspenseful series IMO.

Wonder why that is - what a shame as you are missing, as you say, a good series.
