Jenny if you have got a breakdown of your charges, email these to me at EJG@Supanet.com and I will work out the interest and the daily charge.

Hi Jenny,

Yes that is fine, I can go through the process of the moneyclaim with you if you have MSN, when you are ready??

For the word document:-

I will need to know the date of the charge
and the amount of the charge
Description from the bank statement as to the nature of the charge

hahahaha excellent stuff Jenny, with your claim I would write back to the bank and say you will give them 7 days from the date of your letter to pay the money in, otherwise you will issue court proceedings, they have a habit of saying they will pay out and then stringing it on for months

Well done!!!!! I bet you are pleased???

Just give me a shout if you need any help with your OH's claim

Re: Excessive bank charges - anybody going to complain to their bank?

oh too late. i already posted the letter back via recorded delivery.

im not too worried when they pay up, i no longer use the bank and it will only serve to pay off my overdraft and maybe leave me with a couple of hundred to spend!

my OH's bank are being very slow producing the bank charges... so we'll see!

No that is fine to send their acknowledgement letter back, I would just keep an eye on the account and make sure they pay you sooner rather than later.

Re: Excessive bank charges - anybody going to complain to their bank?

Well, I finally got all my 6 years bank statements from the bank and went through them at the weekend. My unfair charges come to just under £350.00 and I have sent my letter to the bank asking for a refund by recorded delivery yesterday.

I know it's not as much as some of you are claiming, but an extra £350.00 would come in very handy!!!!

Also, and this is shocking, in with my bank statements the bank sent me details of someone else's account. It's one sheet of paper with her full name, address, phone numers, the accounts she has and the credit card and all their balances and limits. I can't believe that I have received it. I think someone at the bank should be getting fired for sending out that.

However, I'm going to bide my time with them and wait until they have paid me and then I shall tell them, and maybe even threaten them with Watchdog. I know that mistakes happen, but that's just awful.
