May I ask you something? Not wishing to be awkward but, a couple weeks ago you said Elsa wouldnt tolerate another Cat because of her difficulties and it wouldnt be fair on Polly as she was not too well (you listed all problems) why then have you got a pup, and a busy, bouncey active breed? What made you think Polly and Elsa would cope? Just genuinely interested, its non of my business, but you know me, too many lawyers in the family, always asking questions!!
Hope he settles in ok, will Florrie be spayed now, to save accidents? Best of luck with him.

Hi Dawn-
thats quite okay to ask
There was allways an issue with a feline entering the house-Elsa has her issues but they are to be worked on regardless of whether a puppy is here or not..she has this strong love of dogs (as is illustrating now) but is quite non tolerant of cats which was one of our concerns of a kitten.
POlly has her ailments yes-but she spends most of her time with my mum doing the day to day things now, and she has taken surprisinglly well to a puppy!
It wasn't a thing entered lightly into, we had eyes on a litter from his breeder towards the end of the yearbut one fateful day she said she had one puppy thats reserve had been lapsed from a current litter and would we be intersted. We thought long and hard, and got our vets opinion and eventually thought that it could work (which seeminglly it is)
And yes Florrie is being speyed (think end of the month, or maybe July *memory like seive) which was booked anyway as no need to keep an intact bitch
