My Dishrag was so clumsy. He fell off the bed (a standard double bed, yes, and he's not that fat - well, I wouldn't know about now, I had to leave him with my ex and haven't seen him in 2 and a half years but he bloody well wasn't then!) all the time, and occasionally forgot to "aim" when he took a running jump at something

He'd be spending more time in the toilet than out, methinks!

Re: Toilet Training

Well, the cat loo has arrived having somehow gone to Australia................... bit of a ****-up in the despatch department I think! Still, not bad service from the US via Oz in a couple of weeks!

So, my new babies can be trained on it as soon as they are big enough to jump up to the loo. The hole is enlarged on a weekly or two-weekly basis, so I don't think there's a danger of tiny kitties actually falling down the toilet - they will be quite big before they are expected to cope with that.

Watch this space, as the old saying goes.

PS, reading through these posts had reminded me that Mini used to pee in the plughole of the bath and wash basin when she was much younger and too lazy to go out.........................must be a natural thing to do! Or she is just a bad cat..................

Re: Toilet Training

I think DM its the the sewerage pipe they pick up my Archie did it too in the bath or sink. But he grew out of it when he got to about 5 months old and was able to go out a lot more.

Re: Toilet Training

lol

Well I have seen and read articles on some of the other cat forums about people training their cats to use the loo. Bronwyn is so daft she would fall in.

Re: Toilet Training

Mine have always been housecats with a litter box & think they are too old to learn new tricks, but think it would be a great idea with kittens...as to falling in...Patches, who's 20 now, has taken to drinking from the loo (UGH!) and has slipped & fallen in a few times; no harm done, just a very cross wet old cat! And yes, sometimes when I need it she is drinking and I have to wait!!! I never remember to but the dratted lid down...
