Welcome home, Mags Afternoon/evening, all. Pretty day today but the nights are foretelling that autumn is on it's way. Last night it actually got down into the 40s. Nice and sunny now though, very pretty outside. Yesterday was sitting in the living room enjoying the view and Kuan Yin became very interested in something..looked over my shoulder and saw nothing at first except our neighbor's roof of their shed and all of a sudden an adult siamese cat stood tentatively on top. he/she was beautiful. i was shocked, i didn't know any of our neighbors might have siamese. he/she didn't have a collar but didn't look emaciated so i assume 'it' has an owner around here. Not sure what I'll do today besides housework. Maybe a stop to the library. Eagerly checking the mail to see if they've sent me a notice yet of when my settlement should arrive. Mom had surgery at 9:30am, I need to call and see how it all went. Have a good day, everyone |

Hi, Tink! Hope your Mom's surgery went well; let us know, please. A wandering Siamese in the neighborhood? Hope he/she isn't lost. Fingers crossed the settlement check will be here soon! |

Got my car back today *happy dance*, turns out it just needed a new battery Mom made it through surgery fine, she is struggling with pain management right now but as long as the nurse stays on top of her pain meds she is okay. Will be staying there until Wednesday or Thursday depending on how she does. I know, I found it odd to see a wandering Siamese. Maybe some owners are just more laid back than me though. Our neighbor, she is disabled, had a brain tumor removed and there was some brain damage. She is hard to understand and has an odd gait but she loves cats and I think she probably leaves food out for quite a few. Her husband looks after her so maybe I'll bring it up next time I see him at the mailbox or something and see if that is their cat. Saw a tuxedo cat on top of that same spot today so I am betting that might be the watering hole where she leaves the food (?). |

Good news about your Mom! Hope she continues to do well.' I would never let a Siamese roam, some people do. We had a gorgeous whole seal point boy in the neighborhood who used to wander up and down the alleys announcing his availability very loudly to any girls ... he was the father of Kate's kittens! |
