All my girl cats have or had "hangy-down tummies" as a friend of mine calls it...the boys, no. I think Misty was about 5 or 6 when she developed one, but she was the most exercise averse cat !!! Leia is developing one now; she turned 7 in March. Actually, I shouldn't have said "all"; Patches has been a skinny cat all her life & is still a skinny cat at 20! Misty was spayed at 5 months; Leia at 4. It's funny to watch when they tear through the house with the tummy swaying from side to side lol |

Jet was spayed at 6 months. When i took her to vet for a check up I asked about her hanging belly, he said it's because she has been spayed. I thought she was putting on weight. Again her belly goes from side to side when she is walking. |
