You can buy imported tortoises. Mine is imported but the importing has to be carefully controlled and they come with a load of paperwork It isn't advisable to hibernate juvenile tortoises. Mine is 6 years old and I haven't hibernated him yet and yes, they should be hibernated in the fridge |

I had a pet box turtle when I was about nine named General Sherman (God knows where I came up with that name!). I insisted on taking him with me to Grandma's where I spent the Summers in the country (polio scares) and he got motion sickness on the train...haven't thought of that in years! But my Mom made me put him back in the woods come Fall so never did the hibernation thing. Yours is cute; what kind is he? |
