Re: A skeletal puss cat just came in to our care.

Bovril ( he has a name) is very hyperthyroid, the normal range is 10- 60 and he is up at 137, so we are starting on vidalta 15mgs today. This means he is most likely over 10 and has been suffering from this for quite a while to be so thin, it's hard to see in the photo because of his long coat but his shoulders are like razor blades and you can feel every back bone and rib.

He's just the right colour for Bovril! So it is as you expected - do hope his levels come down and can be stabilised. He is a handsome boy.

What a cutie, you'll really see the difference after a bit on the Vidalta (which you can get on the internet btw with your vet's prescription); Bovril's fur will be soft and silky again, as well as putting on weight and the obvious benefit of it being so much less of a strain on his heart and organs. So pleased for him that it was picked up, and once you find the strength that suits him he'll be well on the road to a happier boy! P.S: Love the sox!.

Bovril is beautiful ,farthing. I love black cats. I do hope he does well. He deserves a bit of love and security.
