Re: I am very annoyed!

That's a thought, Mags! But they are so fiendishly clever and persistent that I doubt if it would deter them .........

Mags, thanks so much for that last link...I've just ordered some! Hope it does as well as all the testimonials: did you read any of them? People who aren't plagued with squirrels just don't realize how terribly destructive they are...I'll let you know how it works! Thanks again!

I read that a lot of people seemd to swear by it Eileen, so I hope they are right and it works for you........or rather the squirrel!

What did you think about the idea of having a windchime up to scare them away?

They ignore windchimes. I've had one in the tree near the birdfeeder forever with no effect. The only way I finally got them out of the (supposedly) squirrel-proof birdfeeder was by using that teriffic tip I read in the paper to sprinkle cayenne pepper on the seed! It works! Birds have no taste receptors for capsaicin, but they do!! Hee hee!
Edited to say they also ignore the twirly pinwheel things! Tried that. Ha!

I' always willing to try something new! My neighbors and I have about run the gamut of things to do, including trapping. ...Carolyn had a trapper (expensive !) remove the ones who were chewing through her porch roof, and in less than a week a new batch was there! Moli: appreciate the offer, but they ignore and sneer at the JR's next door!
