Re: Bank Holiday Monday

Thanks Kazz

We have been to Twycross Zoo today, had a good time. We have a 9 year old foster lad this week in respite with us he - is adorable and he had a great time. I'm taking him to a farm tomorrow!

Annette, so sorry you are feeling down, I really understand your anguish and the feeling of helplessness. Glad to hear about your uncle though. Yola, hope you had a good day at the beach.

Eileen - what's a Kindle???

It's Amazon's book reading device that has built-in free wireless for it, also a limited Net access, I've posted a query on OFF to see what anyone there knows; lots of real techy people there!

Re: Bank Holiday Monday

Exhausted! Worked this morning then headed up to watch the town carnival as one of my colleagues and her little girl were in the parade! Dressed as caterpillars for the nursery school float, everyone asking if I'm going to be going with them next year
I took Darcy with me as a good socialisation experience and she was such a good girl! She didn't like the rather loud marching band but coped so well with the crowds, met lots of children and even a couple of donkeys! We nearly entered her into the fun dog show but there were a couple of 'properly clipped' poodles there and Darcy is still rather bald and patchy after her op, drip line etc
Now worn out and sitting with my feet up and a cuppa (treating myself to proper tea instead of yukky decaf)
Still got everything crossed for you PP

Re: Bank Holiday Monday

Done nothing much today at all, helped OH put a cupboard back up on the kitchen wall. It had to come down to allow access when the heating was being redone and it's taken him over a month to get round to putting it back! He had real problems with the door hinges, the whole thing took hours and it was just one cupboard! Trouble is my dad was a wonderful handyman and I assumed all men were but OH just doesn't have the DIY gene!

Oh, I do sympathise - My OH is exactly the same.

Had a great day out with friends - shoping, lunch, gossip and good laughs - now home, sore feet but happy heart.

Re: Bank Holiday Monday

6pm and I've just woken up. Did not fall asleep until around 10 am. I've also been considering the Kindle but I want to know how much availability is on it first to the kind of books I like to read.
