New kittens brought in

Poor little mites! You seem to have had a lot of littlies brought in recently-are they usually hand-reared by nurses? Maybe I could volunteer to do some for our local CP branch?

I have spent all evening ringing round trying to find someone to handrear 5.
All now sorted. Sending good vibes for these babies too.

So would I be Kazz, maybe once I'm back to normal I'll contact our CP branch. I really miss hand-rearing, have raised about 15 kittens in the past.

Well, I rang a few people then I got your number up on my phone & as I pressed the green button to dial, my other phone started ringing...it was Pat (Kazz, I must introduce you to Pat)

then my mobile was ringing, and it was Helen with a message about a potential home for the babies, then I called them back & it was all systems go.

I would be willing to hand rear too, have done so (successfully!) for 3 kittens in the past.

The kittens feet sound like Sidney's Alex. He was born like that, he has never needed any surgery and adapted very well. It makes him extra special!

That sounds promising Kim, let's hope for these little ones too. So far they are doing well. Very good appetites and feeding well, so a good sign. To answer your question PL, we have had 5 litters already this year that have needed to be hand reared. I don't know whether this is normal or not, but it does seem a lot to me. heaven help us in the next few months!!
