Nat - try to stay cool (easy on a chilly day like this eh?) They pick up on your mood so easily and tend to reflect it. Min used to get terribly upset if I ever was, or even if I raised my voice to the kids - she'd sit on my lap, with worried looking eyes and her ears back a little, "mweeeelll" and put her paw on my lips! Really. Your boy may be feeding off your anxiety, to add to his own lack of knowledge of what the heck has happened to him. Take care x |

Oh Matron sorry to hear you're not feeling great today. It's only one off-day and it will get better soon. It has been less than a week, and there could be far worse behaviour for a new kitten! Constant mewing must be very wearing, but he's not being destructive, or ill, or pooping everywhere! Not trying to belittle the situation, just help you see the bright side I totally agree about them picking up on moods. Y'day morning, I was feeling really low and started nagging OH, he got fed up of it, said he'd had enough, came to say sorry, I burst into tears, and Minsky put his ears back and looked terrified. There was no raised voices, or sudden movements, but he picked up on the upset vibe. OH and I made up soon after but Minsky still required lots of petting and soothing noises to reassure him itw as all ok. Bless. I do hope you get some rest soon! In a few days it'll have blown over I'm sure |

Everyone is right but when your in the middle of it you can't see it. I think he definately sensed my stress levels rising and also that the girls are upset. He has had a little sleep and I shall try and get him to play with me this evening and have some 1 2 1 time together. I'm definately going to get a feliway thingy tomorrow. Thanks everyone....and yes Meeps he isnt really that bad but his constant crying with the 2 girls all at once just caused me to have a mini meltdown. |

I expect he is simply lonely for feline/kitten company. He will get over it. I do feel for you, but it will soon all be simply a distant memory. Karen |

Plenty of hugs coming from me and snuggles coming from Beauty (as long as you don't stroke her sore sides she'll be happy to snuggle you) |
