The sun finally made a brief appearance on the way to the market (has since vanished again!) and the transition lenses did darken nicely. Not quite as dark as regular sunglasses, but quite satisfactory. Glad I decided to get that option. |

HK, those are the glasses Sarah Palin was wearing on TV during the campaign. I just fell in love with the style, and as I needed new glasses, went for them. The optician said they were extremely popular, selling well! |

It was nice and sunny this morning, so took a pic of them while waiting for the bus. See how they darken in the sun? Glad I decided to opt for the transition lenses!   |

I wish I were a bit more scientifically inclined; cannot imagine how they do that! Darken in the sunlight and revert to clear when you're out of it. The miracles of modern technology.... |
