Seeing him then, I would have said there was no chance of saving that eye.

He has come on so well, is now a typical boy, next step will be getting him neutered....

Moli - Our young sheepdog injured her eye over a year ago. (Vet thinks she may have ran into a twig or something) Her eye was almost shut and had a cloud/ulcer over it. Our vet said we should use antibiotic cream on it and keep it clean. He did talk about stitching it shut to keep it moist and said although he thought unlikely she may lose sight in it.

Looking at the photo Mags has posted and the 'now' pics it looks very like the same thing, although I never thought about it at the time. Jen has made a 95% recovery. There is still a little milkyness in her eye but certainly does not seem to affect her.

I'd go to your own vet but on the basis of these pics I'd leave well alone.

Strange Moli - I never thought that he would lose that eye - just had a feeling. I remember asking you on one of the threads if it would still need to be removed. I hope the vet was wrong and he will keep his eye (well I think I already know that answer

Thanks CM,sounds as if its the same as your dog...I had cream for it,but it seem to irritate and he kept pawing at is eye, so decided not to use it, and its got better since I stopped using it..
I really feel now, he has sight in it and its looking good, so will not be putting him in for the op...
