Been in touch with Malaika's breeder today, they have been to Windsor show and just got back. We have arranged to take Malaika to meet with her sister on Sunday afternoon, all being well we will bring her home with us . The agreement is that we will return her if things don't work out. Eventualy both girls will be spayed so that should get rid of hormonal problems We are very excited but a little scared too as it is a big commitment. Will keep you all posted. |

Wishing you all the best with the two lady dogs Shelley, but I'm sure as litter-mates they will get on well. Double the commitment yes, but Double the love n fun |

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. Yesterday we made the decision not to take Malaika's sister, Maisy after a lot of thought. We know that sometimes Basenjis of the same sex don't get on but we were tempted when we met her as she's such a lovely Pup. We have decided to let Malaika be an only Pup and will revert to the original plan of getting a little boy next year when shes older. Maisy will stay with her breeder untill a nice home is found for her. Feeling very down about it though and wished we'd never gone there. |
