OMG! little horrors And they looked like little angels in your photo's. I haven't tried this myself (as we're fairly new to cat ownership), but someone told me that wrapping tin foil around the arms of the sofa deters them too. Aparently they don't like the sound of it as they scratch? The only issue we're having with our little kitten is her obsession with climbing the curtains and my new voil. Not £3,000 worth though.. Now Katey would be out the door if she did that cos my OH would flip! |

Mine is looking a bit wrecked I must amit, but its a material one and it catches on everything even my jewelery, I chose a silly colour too, so may get it covered again, but they have basically stuck to one arm of it x |

Mine are not expensive leather sofas but when I am out I shut my living room door and the cats only have access when we are in there. Chloe used to climb my curtains but she has stopped now as I sprayed her with water when she did it!!! Still have the curtains tho with lots of little holes to let the light in lol!!! |

I haven't tried it but I've heard that double sided sellotape will deter cats from scratching/plucking. It must be worth a try (do a test on a hidden bit of your sofa first but I wouldn't think it would harm leather). You'll need to make some funky slip covers to hide the damaged arms. Hopefully the damage will appear less over time. |

Rosie almost destroyed my old fabric soffa but has never touched my leather one. When I first got little Alfie I was worried he may damage it but he loves scratching my wicker linnen basket which I have given over to him. £16 -v- £800 no competition. My daughter's cat ruined her leather soffa but it was a very soft leather mine is more the tough shinny type. |
