Before!!! It was during this morning's temper rant He then lulled the poor cat into a false sense of security; Mysh went to sleep on the sofa where lego was being assembled and next thing I know the monster (boy not cat) is howling because the cat didn't like being placed in the coal basket. Thankfully in one of the fireplaces that isn't used, otherwise he would have been heading for the shower

Hm, no wonder he looks serious! I like the name- does it mean anything? I used to kave a tortie called Koshka (spelled Kowka I think....) which I was told was Czech for cat

Loved the pics, especially the last one peeking thru the rails! What a handsome fellow he is! Fireplaces plural? Lucky you!

Re: Myshka playing peekaboo on the stairs

5 fireplaces DM. Only 2 in use, but in theory all 5 could be (+ the additional 2 on the top floor if we reinstated them ).

But that's too much like hard work!!

Cats' Staff - Myshka means 'mouse' in Polish (which is what I am by birth - Polish, not a mouse ). I would imagine Cat in Czech would be similar to the Polish which is Kot or, as a diminuative; Kotka (kitten or little cat).

Re: Myshka playing peekaboo on the stairs

Kotka- that was it! Little cat. We had a Czech friend who named her by picking her up when she was a kitten and saying it to her- she purred so it stuck. We always pronounced it Coshka and could never remember the correct way to spell it which made vet visits interesting. That's partly why we just use 'Tolly' rather than Ptoly....
