I'm not really a harness user, like you I prefer a collar but this was bought specifically for the beach so that I could attach a longline to it. This meant that Morgan could run fairly freely but could be kept under control and not pester other people, and also he could be stopped while running without any painful jerk on his neck.

Morgan has fine, longish silky hair and wearing a harness makes his coat knot because of the rubbing, so using a harness will not be for everyday.
