Re: Forgotten Tuesday!

Hiya all
Janey hopw you have a nice holiday
Dm glad Leia has her "fix" back and no rain either...good day.
Alex glad Topaz has a home.
PP You are excused for yesterday...

I am late today although its my day off its been a bit of a mixed day, I managed to hurt my left index finger yesterday at work well I was actually closing the big metal gates they are about 20ft wide and 30ft high each gate and metal the wind caught the one gate and it banged on my finger (which I was to slow to move ) my finger nail will go black it hurts stil like crazy and you can see where it bruised under the nail...it was burning hot yesterday and this morning but easing off now. So inconvinent when trying to type with index finger in the air.
Yesterday my Mom (who recently had shoulder surgery) 2 weeks ago had a shower and getting dressed she hurt a crack and felt sick....took her to the Doctors this morning and the the hospital seems she has fractured a bone.......just when the shoulder was getting better....but she says the pain fom the break is still less than the pain she had before the surgery....

Brought a new pair of walking boots today I say new pair these are my first pair ever of specific walking boots....really nice lad in the shop "Blacks" guided me well I think and I am size bigger than I thought I said 6 I am a 7.....they had a offer on buy the 2nd pair half price so brought some cross "something" trainers all well...

Have a good evening all I will be around a while finger in the air.

Re: Forgotten Tuesday!

Bit of a wasted day today as I'm waiting for some deliveries so I had to stay in. Poor dog had to make do with a pre-breakfast street walk and we'll go out and repeat that later on after he has digested his tea, no run in the woods today but I'm sure he'll survive! Unfortunately, the deliveries didn't arrive but I'm sure they'll be here tomorrow!

We need a bit of rain here, things are looking a bit dusty in the garden, still, at least the cats aren't bringing muddy paws indoors after they've been digging to cover up their "you know whats"

Re: Forgotten Tuesday!

Kazz, sorry to hear about your Mum! And I hope you won't lose the fingernail; I did when I accidentally closed a file cabinet on mine!

Re: Forgotten Tuesday!

Kazz - very best wishes for your mum that she soon heals and feels better.
Hope your little finger feels better soon - it certainly is a great inconvenience to have any finger hurting and out of action - right index is worst. You should have sterilized a needle in the gas flame and put it through the nail to release the blood. Eek! My OH caught his left index finger in the car door (he shut it on himself - ho hum) and it went very black. He was at a dinner sitting next to a doc shortly afterwards and the doc recommended the needle trick - as long as you aim for no lower than two thirds down you seldom feel it, apparently. Ouch! Anyway - that was almost exactly a year ago and he only said a day or two back that it is finally better - no more black and no more mangled sad new nail.
Sorry - bit of a Job's comforter there, wasn't I? I don't know the biblical reference to that saying, do you?

He's a link to an explanation of Job's comforter don't think that what you said is Job's comfort but I get the gist. http://confidentfaith.com/articles/jobs-comforters/
