I take the childminded children to a place called Cannon Hall and they have a farm inside the grounds and the favourite animals of all the children have got to be the piglets, they adore them  |

My Grandparents ran a Dairy Farm, and the farm next to the had pigs, spent many a hoilday in the sty with the piglets, much to my mums disgust!! |

Did I read somewhere that someone is breeding 'miniature pigs' for the pet trade? I think that could work for some people - they are charming, intelligent and very clean (in their habits if not their skins) animals. You'd have to fence your garden well though! |

It depends on how minature they are, everybody thinks pot bellies and kune kunes are small, but they are only small compared to normal pigs, they still get up to about 10 stone in weight. When they were a trendy pet, there were loads of rescue filled with them, especially in America, a lot of them were very messed up because they are so intelligent. Piglets are cute, but I like them grown up better, even though they are huge. I would love a pure tamworth though. |
