Glad the girls are home safe and sound, it's great that they have eaten something. Years ago i had my Cat Sybil spayed, i was told to keep her quiet and not too active for a few days, the first thing she did on getting home was leap onto the kitchen work top. Fortunately everything was ok but it gave me a scare. |

Great to hear the girls are good - nervewracking! We just had Cali spayed 12 days ago, she is doing well, and same thing - become very purr-y and affectionate She gradually increased her eating/drinking over the first few days, and is pretty much back to herself. The buster collar is a pain! She took a while to get used to it, and we take it off every 2hrs or less for 20 mins or so, so she can clean/feed & drink easily/have a stretch or (calm) runaround! We check on her twice in the night too, to comfort and give her a collar break. Just make sure they don't go for the stitches / healing scar when the collar is off! Had the stitches out yesterday, advised to keep collar on for another 48hrs, so roll on tommorow! Might be worth asking if one/both need an antibiotic top-up when you go for your 2-day check, see how it's looking Also, you'd be surprised how high they can climb with a buster collar on - just make sure they can jump back down without too much of a wallop on the chin! |

I know its awful seeing them like that but i've never had a problem with them eating or drinking with it on which i'm very surprised about but i'm cant wait for the stitches to come out. Poor Cali i bet she can't wait for the collar off either bless her, well done Cali on doing so well. At the moment both are asleep on my bed but that could change when i go to bed xx |

Misty had dissolving stitches, Leia didn't. And both were in a household with another cat/cats. I suppose they want to check how the wound is, but I wonder if it's just to charge for another visit ....??? |
