A wee update on the Halfpenny kittens, they are about 6 weeks old now! Rufus's leg has completely healed and his is not lame. Penny still has a head tremor but only when worried or excited. We think she may have issues with judging distance, possibly eyesight problems. They are both pretty much weaned and have been moved into a dog crate in our bedroom so they meet the other cats safely. Rufus, in the front. Penny. |

Such good news - I'm so happy that Penny and Rufus are making excellent progress. What of the 16 y/o cat? How did you come by him/her? |

The owners of the 16 year old cat are in rented accommodation, but have to be out by the 22nd if July. They are in the process of converting a steading, and do not know if they are going to end up in a caravan or other accommodation. The cats protection told them to contact us. They are happy to pay £10 a month towards her keep and may take her back when the house is organised. We have our old foster cat, Pod, coming for his holidays while his owners are away ( Pod has behavioural issues), so when he goes home, the cat will come in, to initially live inn the study until she is a bit more settled. For a change, she is at least fully vaccinated, vet checked and wormed! |
