Thanks for your good wishes peeps - Kizzy seems brighter this morning but I have yet to examine the site.

Kizzy has just let me look - the hole is no smaller yet, the area looks clean but still smells a bit "fishy". It's still early, so fingers crossed.

Guesswork only - I noticed the sore patch first on Thursday, but on Wednesday evening (I think) I did hear a cat cry out and when I went looking, Kizzy was sitting on the kitchen table (norty girl) looking fine. The vet said that he thought the wound could only be a couple of days old. I suspect Pip bopped her one ....... and maybe she had a small abscess as a result that burst. As I say, I am guessing.

She's not worrying the site as much today but neither has she let me look at it yet. As she's asleep atm I will wait until later to examine her!
