Kazz, only saw a bit of Blandford from the bypass , didn't visit the fair as we were travelling further South. What I saw of the area, it is quite lovely, very picturesque cottages along the route.

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Just popped out to take Kindly for a pee and found a labrador who'd been left outside the front of the practice!
Really sweet old guy, prob about 12+, collar, no tag and no chip. Very skinny and unkempt. Settled him into a kennel with some dinner, will have to phone dog warden etc tomorrow

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

What luck you were on hand PL - don't know how people can chuck out their animals, maybe just because they're elderly. I keep telling Merlin that he's safe and secure, just in case he gets worried. Keep telling MIL that too, but at the moment she's taken it into her head that the nuns are going to chuck her out because she's not a Catholic!

It was such a glorious day yesterday - can't believe it's gone back to grey and gloomy today.

Carpet being laid tomorrow in our bedroom - collected curtains yesterday!!! Lounge redecoration looming - desperately need some ideas about fireplaces!

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Thanks for that link calismum - looks a very interesting site. We had our old gas fire ripped out and a woodburner installed a month or so ago and it's really whether I want to go with just an overfire mantleshelf or a full surround; whether I want the chimney breast a different colour from the rest of the room; what to do with the hearth, etc - so I think that site will be very helpful. Kind of you to post the link.

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

PL, how dreadful However, at least the 'owners' had the foresight to leave the dog outside the vets and not dumped on a motorway hard shoulder or similar
