Thanks so much for all your kind words, I'm so glad I found this forum where other people know what it's like to have cats in their hearts In regards to Bubbles' colouring - I often get remarks that she is unusual for being an all ginger female (the vet says it every time lol), she has a small lighter to white patch right at the tip of her tail which is how she gets away with it I think I just love her, she's my baby She came to me from a local home run rescue place, I was looking for a companion for Squeak and while I would have loved a kitten, my husband asked that we take a female in that was at the very least spayed, preferably Innoculated. I happened to call this place and they said 'oh we have a young female in who has just been spayed'. I dashed up there and saw this poor little mite who was terribly thin with a bald patch and stitches from being spayed. Sadly she had been starved along with her 2 brothers when their previous owner had gone through a bad divorce and was so traumatised, she hadn't fed the cats. Her two brothers were rehomed quickly once well enough but the poor little girl hadn't. SO she fit right in with us, was fussed and cuddled and fed and while Squeak was definately not impressed at first, they learned to tolerate each other and when they thought we weren't looking, even play together. I'd like to get a companion for Bubbles now, my hubbie has asked I follow the same restriction which I am happy to do. I know there is another cat out there that needs me to love her Gosh I do witter on |
