Kay, only one cat in my life ever paid any attention to TV: my Siamese used to sit on the armchair with my Dad when he was watching baseball, & Su-Ling would go behind the TV looking for the ball!! Do any of yours ever recognize the "other cat" in a mirror? I've read that some cats do...never seen it myself.

My Persians are far too thick to recognise themselves. Tate can't even figure out that you have rolled a ball to him till about 10 mins later.

Yes we have a 5 foot fish tank in our front room and Angel loves them and the fish love her. She is so gentle she just puts her paw on the glass and they come up to her. Tilly, however, is a totally different matter. She is still trying to figure out how to get into it and when she comes near all the fish swim to the other end because she absolutely thumps the glass. Cory has given them a passing glance but the others aren't really bothered. They much prefer to sleep on the top where it is really warm.
