Tink, I don't know where he had the injection, but when Sultan was PTS he was in my arms and I held him and talked to him as he slipped away........ |

He had it in the vein in the rear leg. It occurs to me that it might have been a bit different since we had to bring him to the ER clinic. Also, everyone was in the room with me whereas this vet injected her and placed her into my arms and left me with her only to check back to pronounce her. Maybe it is just a difference in clinics. |

That may be it. This was at my regular vets; Sultan had been there for 3 days and wasn't going to get better so the decision had to be made. It was on a Sunday when the clinic is closed, but Dr. Bayles called me at home and said to come in as it was time and so I could say goodbye. I'll be forever grateful for that. I held him and told him we were going home to have chicken and then a nice long walk, and he just went to sleep; I still tear up thinking about it. |
