Re: Radish - Belgian Hare pics.

Just the one Donna, I wasnt going to have another, but always fancied a Hare, so I took the plunge! Had to sort out a "hutch" first, or rather a 4ft 6 X 4ft dog kennel, with "extras" and a 6ft X 4ft run. I had my first bunny when I was 4, I won him in a "hook a duck" competition!

I was thinking of getting a friend for Emma's male bunny, Pickle. Feel bad he is on his own all day, but dont know what a rabbit really thinks!!

Re: Radish - Belgian Hare pics.

Well if you do you will need to get yours neutered otherwise they will breed like Rabbits!!!

I had 2 at one point, hated eacthother! People say they like company, well mine didnt and considering how many are in rescue, I think a few too many people "think" they need a friend, ends up in a family! Good luck whatever you decide, I had one Rabbit neutered and it ruined him.

Are the Belgian Hares much different from your average bunny? More than in looks, then.

Well they can jump 4ft from a stand still! Very agile, need loads of space and a good run 4 or 5 times a week. Normal hutches are no good, I have an adapted kennel and a 6X4 run for him with a lid on it! Very nice natured, not bitey, but can kick, never attempts to bite or be grumpy, wouldnt reccommend one as a childs pet, not cuddly at all, very nosey, inquisitive and fast!
Dawn.
