Re: A sad introduction (sorry it's long!)

Welcome to Catsey....

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Charlie, he was indeed a handsome boy.

You had given him 10 years of devoted love and care and when the time came, you were brave enough to give him the greatest gift of all ........freedom from his pain.

Many of us here have suffered the heartache of losing a cat we loved very much, it does hurt and you do need time to grieve for him. Eventually you will think of him with a smile on your face, remembering the good times you had with him .....it does get easier ((((hugs))))

We are always here for you if you feel chatting about your dear boy, it make help to ease your pain to talk about him. You have made a wonderful start by posting his lovely photo which we can relate to.

We have a section called "Gone But Not Forgotten" where, if you wish, you can post a memorial to Charlie, it may help you........here is the link ...... http://www.catsey.com/forumdisplay.php?f=63

Take care, hugs to you and your family..

Re: A sad introduction (sorry it's long!)

You're in the right place to share your grief...most of us have been there and know how very hard it is and what a void they've left in our lives. Crying is so natural, but the sorrow will ease and the good memories remain. I know that's just a platitude, but it is true. My lovely Sultan had to be put down years ago and I still cry a bit talking about it..share some memories when you feel able to.

Re: A sad introduction (sorry it's long!)

So sorry you've lost your dear cat. It's so painful when this happens and all the more so when you have a pair of 2 year old's eyes looking at you and wondering what's happening and why his Mummy's upset.

Last year, when I found my darling Darcy who had just suddenly died in the lounge my then 3 year old was with me. He witnessed my upset and too was in tears. I explained to him that Darcy's gone, that we love him and we will always love him. Now, nearly a year on he'll still talk about him but understands that Darcy's gone but we still love the memory of our dear puss.

I hope that one day you can look back and share the happy memories of Charlie with your little boy.
