Hi, don't know if it's especially rare...my Misty. a little stray, the one who died at 19 1/2 was exactly the same color..yes, it's sex-linked; males almost unheard of and when one does appear, he is sterile

Re: Leia & Patches (posted for Dandysmom)

Thank you all for your kind remarks, and special thanks to Mags & Smudgley who have been kind enough to post piccies for this inept Yankee who can't seem to master getting them out of Photobucket...you all are great For a long time I was confused as to whether Leia was a blue-patched tabby, or a blue torbie (tortie/tabby)...finally discovered that it depends on which side of the Atlantic you're on Here in North America she's a blue-patched tabby, and if she goes overseas, morphs to a blue torbie . Blue is a dilute of the usual tortie black and orange, like Patches...for example, if someone would, God forbid! dunk a regular tortie in bleach for a few hours, she would come out diluted to blue and cream instead of black and orange!! So, although Patches & Leia really don't care for one another, they are actually sisters under the skin Did you like the one of Leia on the wine rack; that is one of my favorite shots....

I am tempted, but don't want to overdo it or take too much advantage....maybe next month I have a couple of good ones of Leia outside on the porch being the mighty huntress making faces at the birds in the feeder...they need to have the brightness corrected...again, thanks
