Re: Dylan's been to the vets (1st time in Lincolnshire)

You have had quite a shock RCR - as Eileen suggested, I'd give the vet a call when it's sunk in a bit and you feel like asking more questions.

As you said in a previous post, Dylan is now having his regular meals without "extras" and being more active, so a bit more weight loss shouldn't be difficult given a bit more time.

Re: Dylan's been to the vets (1st time in Lincolnshire)

Aww Sorry to hear this. I have a little Bitch I bred here who was diagnosed with a heart murmur during her 4 week Vet check.
Vet said it may get better but unfortunately it got worse and is now a grade 3-4 and was Pulmonic Stenosis BUT she is neither up nor down. Runs along with the rest of ma nutters and it has never held her back so far.
Vet says he will not treat unless she becomes seriously ill with symptoms associated with murmur eg--excess coughing, breathing difficulties or swollen abdomen

I agree the best thing would be to phone vet back and ask for mor einformation once you feel a bit calmer.
