.... and just downright more sensible! I trust Kizzy not to eat something that will disagree with her, but I do know that Pip knows no better yet - I do have to make sure things that could make him sick are put away, he is in to everything!

Re: Quiz - Wed 18 Nov 2009

She is the worst dog I've had for eating anything - and I do mean anything.

I've no idea what she ate today, looked like something that had been dead a long time - by the time I caught up with her it was gone!

She has learned over the years to keep an eye on me and is very good at running and swallowing while keeping about six inches from me!!!

Not knowing dogs, I presume that's normal behaviour - but my question is still WHY?

One of my neighbors down the block was in the early stages of Alzhimers... used to throw out the Meals on Wheels her daughters had delivered to her if she didn't like them. In her back yard! Sultan came upon a rather nasty looking piece of hot dog and was about to eat it , was very indignant when I took it away from him.

Dogs are omnivores, aren't they? If I'd ever served Sultan a piece of elderly hot dog he would have done the burying dance around the plate and stalked off in a dudgeon!
