Thanks for all your comments folks. Shelley, when we got Fecto we had taken some food to a rescue centre and some people brought in a tiny kitten who was covered in ringworm. The centre didn't have anywhere to isolate him so we said we would take him. We took him straight to the vet who confirmed ringworm. Poor little chap had to be bathed every 3 days for about 6 weeks. In the meantime he infected me and OH, 3 other cats and 1 of the dogs so OH called him the 'Fectious Chap, hence Fecto!! At his heaviest he was 221b and his paws are as big as 3 of my fingers, side by side. He's nearly 12 now and not very well but I'm surprised he made it this far, he was so poorly. |

Here he is, Inky and the giant squirrel. We got Inks from The Ark in Ashbourne in November 2011. He's 6 now. There are always lots of black cats in rescue centres, for some silly reason nobody wants black cats. I love them. We've had Zoot, Fruitbat, Meetster, Chubbiz, Peewee and The Doll. We picked Inky, or rather he chose us, because he was black. |
