BM - I learnt to drive in London and funnily enough that's where I feel quite safe - seems to me London drivers might be a bit reckless but their quite positive and usually have somewhere to go It's the ditherers I can't stand - the ones that change lanes randomly and stop to think about where they need to be next. I can drive as quickly as the rest of them, but somehow suburban morons are miles worse than urban ones (IMHO) |

Nae: wow, -40!! And I'm complaining because it's only 30F with a wind chill of 23! At least it's sunny today, helping to warm the house; furnace running constantly. This will be s nasty gas bill! Mags: I too thought you could only get chicken pox once..? Down to 25F last night with howling winds; worried half the night about Onyx, but she showed up looking quite chipper at lunch, and was there again for her tea time meal just now; guess she knows how to cope in this weather...at least she's getting two warm meals a day and a saucer of milk. How I wish I could coax her to come in where it's warm...Very cold on the way to and from the market, even with lots of layers of clothes. Finally finished Christmas shopping; now need to start wrappng,,,with help from Leia! Have a nice evening, all! |

You can get chicken pox more than once although it's usually when you had a very mild dose of it the first time and usually there would be quite a gap between the first time and the second. It's more common to present itself as shingles the second time and children can get shingles too. It does seem rather bizarre that Katie has chicken pox again so soon. So close to Christmas too I really hope that she starts to feel better very soon. Usually a second outbreak is less dibilitating than the first. Hopefully this is the case for Katie x |

My Dad had had chicken pox as a child, and sure enough it recurred as a nasty case of shingles...he was in misery! I've vaguely fretted about this, but as I'm older now than he was when he died, hope I never get them! What a bad time for Katy to have it again, right at the Holiday Season! Oops, sorry, misspelled Katie! |
