Perhaps when you feel up to it you can do a little tribute, telling all about her.

How heart breaking especially following your holiday, awful home coming x

How wonderful for her to reach 23, in time you will look back with fond memories but at present you need to take one day at a time. They leave such big gaps in our lives.

I have just realised that Winnie was 13, not 23 according to your dates for her. Nevertheless, a reasonable age to reach and you must feel her loss greatly. Xx

I will write about my little sweetie soon. She was indeed 23 when she died. Today I received a card from our own vet saying "Sorry for the loss of your beloved Winnie". My flat is very quiet without her, so I come home and talk to her about all the little things we used to do every day and how she gave me so much.

That was kind and thoughtful of your vet. 23 years is so long and your world must feel completely empty without Winnie. So sorry. I hope in time that you will be able to remember all the happy times with a smile.
