I made a mistake. The cat named Onyx on catchannel.com was a girl because, now that you mention it the cat on that site was wearing a pink hat.

I was curious about the other Onyx and logged on the site you mentioned (we're not supposed to mention other cat forums here)...there are 12 of them!!! I'm not very original, am I?

No, you are not very original. The Onyx on there that I'm talking about was a black cat and she looked like your Onyx. Does your Onyx have a profile on that site? I made a reply on Onyx's Profile. See If your cats profile has a comment from my cats and my cats names are Simba, Precious (Now Deeased), Misty (Now Deceased).

No, my Onyx doesn't have a profile there; might do one! And I had a Misty, now deceased, also: she was a blue torbie like my Leia!

Jac, the term "rusty" means when black cats get a sort of brownish tinge in their fur,usually from too much sunlight. I was responding to Moli's post about Leo being rusty...here's a link to that post and pic in case you missed it....http://www.catsey.com/showthread.php?t=23595
The brown in his coat shows up much more than Onyx's does.....
