just got back from visiting the kitten. hes really lovely the breeder was really into her cats and seemed to know what she was talking about. Theres 5 kittens in the litter and all but him came over and sat on my lap and fell asleep! he was off doing his own thing. After about half an hour he finally came over and cuddled up on my lap The mum was really nice, she was a bit wary at first, but she soon warmed up and was fine. We met the dad as well, he was really big, and you could really clearly feel his muscle, he was a big solid boy. Very friendly and really nice markings. Shes using worlds best cat litter, which is good cos thats what i was planning on using eventually. And with food shes trying to give them a bit of everything so they dont grow up to be fussy, so they are eating really well. Shes got everything written down and recorded to date, all vet checks, worming etc. I should be picking him up 17th feb, but depends if i can get the weekend off work, otherwise it'll be 19th. hes a really sweet boy, quietly confident and docile and a very big boy. The breeder has been calling him Harvey, and i think that may be his name now. I tried a few names with him of what we had thought of, but none seemed to fit him. |

Aha you must be a mind reader I only just asked about you. Sounds like a very good first introduction, did she give any advice on settling him in with Indie? is he used to dogs at all? Harvey is a nice name very unusual a nice name suits him. Glad it went well. Karen |

well he lives with a 40 kilo doberman, and seems oblivious to him, which is great. she mostly gave me advice about feeding him, being as exact as possible about how to prepare his meals the way she has been so he settles in ok. she said she gives out a pack which includes food and information sheets and everything, which is good. s he put the blanket i bought into the kittens bed so it will build up a good scent. they all seem very well socialised, and being a small breeder she only has one litter at a time so she can spend time socialising them and getting them used to vacuums, dogs, children etc and being handled. |
