Both son and daughter use a docking system that charges their ipod as well as playing it through speakers.. They have the apple itouch ones

Eileen, if you google "Setting up ipod" you will find lots of info about it

They are easy Eileen.. even I can do it... if you have an ipod (ie apple) then you need to install itunes to transfer music to the ipod... if you just have a normal mp3 player then you dont need itunes.

Once you have all the songs on the ipod you just then plug in your speaker system and then attach the ipod and away you go!
