Re: Newbie here! can anybody help?

Oh dear that's terrible and I am very sorry to hear about Mondo having ARF, I sincerely hope the vets can pull him through this. xxx
ARF is usually caused by the cat ingesting something toxic such as lillies, if your vet can pull him through this stage then there will be a good chance that he will regain all or most of his kidney function, fingers crossed for him here xxx

Re: Newbie here! can anybody help?

the vet seems to think it might be a tumour, she says his kidneys are enlarged aswell. i dont know if its anything he has ingested, he only goes into the garden if were there and the weather hasnt been that great so he hasnt went out much. i dont have flowers in the garden but there was grass seed put down a couple of weeks ago? also tomato, basil and chilli plants but i havent seen him eating them. i realy hope he will pull through too, i will never shout at him for going on couch and scratching or tearing about the house at 3am, in fact id love to hear that again

Good, I am very pleased to hear that he is getting round the clock care.
I dont know if you want to know a little more about ARF or not, I myself like to be as clued up as I can when anything happens with my animals. If so the following link might help you understand what's going on.
